Eagle City Gallery Artist of the Month for March 2010

Cathy Jordan

Cathy Jordan is an accomplished artist whose works have drawn wide acclaim.  Her detailed images of varied subject matter are etched in the format of India ink.  This process consists of a clay covered board that is coated with black India ink.  She uses fine knives and needles to carve and etch away the black ink revealing the clay surface beneath.  Her art delivers a texture and feeling of aliveness not commonly found in this medium.  It is these fine lines that bring her subjects to life.

Cathy's work is being reproduced and offered for the first time in "Giclee" reproduction medium which is the closest to the original.  The prints are the finest museum quality possible.

Cathy invites you to visit her website:  www.wildlifewomen.com
If you are interested in her works, contact:  Janet Tatilian at 208-602-0007.
Originals are also available on request.
