The Eagle Arts Commission's first public art project was the Aikens statue located at 1st and Old State Streets in honor of one of Eagle's founding fathers.
Our second public art project came into fruition when the we received a grant in 2006 from the Idaho Commission on the Arts to commission artists to create outdoor sculptural benches for the Eagle business corridor.
The public voted on their favorite benches, and then ten artists were selected through this voting process to create their respective bench. The benches were installed in June 2007, just in time for Eagle Fun Days!
